Cosmetic products IRENEE contain a substantial share of Aloe vera without thermal treatment.
As you probably know, most creams contain a substantial share of water. As a conscientious user of a cosmetic product, you read the declaration and see that water is listed first. This means that it accounts for the biggest share. Serums, for example, contain as much as 80% of water. Water is the cheapest ingredient in cosmetic products but it does not penetrate to deeper skin layers and does not hydrate skin.
On the other hand, freshly squeezed Aloe Vera gel contains long chain sugars (polysaccharides), which penetrate in the skin lipid barrier and help keep the water and thus hydrate the skin.
Our organic Aloe Vera has not been dried and then dissolved with water, which is a common practice in skincare industry.
Only our own, high-quality and organic Aloe vera is used in Irenee cosmetics. It is grown on IRENEE Estate, picked and pressed by hand and it is not pasteurised.
ALOE VERA
Pure Aloe vera gel has been used in cosmetic products for face and body care for a long time. It provides skin with a sufficient quantity of vitamins and nutrients, stimulates circulation, ensures oxygenation, cleanses toxins in the skin and regenerates. Skin is smoother, hydrated and firmer. Acemannan stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen and thus acts against wrinkles. Tyrosinase reduces the occurrence of pigment blemishes. Aloe gel can be used also on adolescent oily or acne skin, particularly when acne get inflamed as it reduces the occurrence of scars. Vitamin A and calcium in aloe protect skin from UV radiation. Aloe gel is used also after sunbathing or for burns as brady kinase enzyme helps reduce skin inflammation and relieves pain, while acemannan stimulates regeneration of the affected tissue and the gel itself cools and soothes the irritated skin. Aloe gel helps also in case of burning with hot liquid, steam or a hot object as well as in damaged tissue due to radiological therapy. Aloe gel can be used on all types of irritated skin, itchiness, insect bites, eczema and urticaria. When itchiness is the consequence of local contact with an allergen, for example, it is enough to apply gel to the affected spot. Gel can be used also in case of itchy vagina mucosa or anal itching. The mucosa around anus often gets inflamed in athletes, particularly cyclists; it soothes also burning and itchy feeling in case of anal fistula. The gel stimulates healing of surface wounds and scratches and reduces inflammation. It quickly soothes the inflammation in case of rubbing of two skin surfaces, like in groin, below breasts, under armpits… It can be used by immobile patients to prevent bedsores, and in case they have already occurred, the gel stimulates healing. Together with numerous amino acids, vitamins and minerals, acemannan stimulates healing of new or old scars. Cream with Aloe Vera has to be applied twice a day, in case of old scars for at least a few months. Gel makes stretch marks less visible. It can be used by pregnant women. Nursing mothers apply gel on cracked nipples and it can be used also in case of mastitis. After each breast-feeding, breasts should be massaged with aloe gel and washed with warm water before next breast-feeding. Aloe vera gel has proved efficient also in healing some fungal infections as it acts against fungi and inflammation and relieves itching. In case of athletic foot it is recommended to wash or bathe with diluted Aloe vera juice twice a day. Then, the skin should be dried well and Aloe vera cream or gel applied. In case of seborrhoeic dermatisi, which has been found out to be a fungal infection, washing the affected spot with diluted aloe vera juice or use of gel is recommended. Vaginal candidiasis is usually inflammation, resulting from weakened immunity or after antibiotic therapies. Locally applied gel relieves itching and has an antimicrobial effect. Patients with psoriasis can improve the condition by applying the gel on inflamed spots. Aloe vera ingredients slow down proliferation and differentiation of epidermis. As psoriasis skin needs a sufficient quantity of lipids, greasy cream has to be applied over the gel or cream with Aloe vera used instead of gel. Due to all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that aloe contains, it makes hair stronger and shiny and soothes irritated scalp. As it stimulates hair growth, it is used in case of excessive loss of hair or baldness. Juice or gel is applied to wet scalp after washing the hair, massaged, left for a few minutes and then washed out. Alternatively, the gel can be applied in the evening, left to act during the night and then washed out in the morning.
In case of problems with oral mucosa, mouth ulcers, inflamed or bleeding gums, bad breath, and also toothache, toothpaste and mouth water with Aloe vera is used, and after brushing Aloe vera gel can be applied. This acts antiseptically, anti-inflammatorily and analgetically and stimulates healing of ulcers on mucosa.
MINERALS: Minerals in aloe: calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, sodium, iron, chromium, manganese, copper, selenium, zinc, germanium.
Oligoelements manganese and selenium as component parts of enzymes superoxide dismutase and glutathione-peroxidase are important in deactivation of free radicals, impeding oxidation reactions and the processes of aging. Copper as a component part of ceruroplasmin reduces the oxidised form of iron which is responsible for the production of free radicals. Magnesium is important for the functioning of muscles, calcium for bones, and chromium in the metabolism of glucose.
VITAMINS: Vitamins in aloe: beta carotene, B-complex vitamins (B1-thiamine, B2-riboflavin, B3-niacin, B6-pyridoxine, B9-folic acid, B12- cobalamin), vitamin C, vitamin E. Vitamin A in combination with calcium improves the protective function of skin from solar radiation. Vitamin C, as an antioxidant, protects cells, mainly white blood cells, from damage caused by free radicals and thus strengthens the immune system. Folic acid and vitamin B12 participate in the process of cell division. Vitamin E stimulates creation of new cells and thus contributes to keeping vegetative nervous system healthy.
PHOSPHOLIPIDS: Aloe gel contains choline, which is an important building block of phosphatidylcholine molecules, a component part of cell membrane, allowing for better fluidity. Thus they improve the elasticity of veins, improve intercell exchange of information and nutrients, participate in biochemical and metabolic processes. Choline, as a component part of lecithine fat molecules, participates in the metabolism of fats in liver. Studies on animals have shown that it decreases the level of cholesterol and triglycerides, and at the same time prevents the occurrence of gallstones. In patients with hepatitis A, B or C it stimulates regeneration of liver cells, resulting in the mitigation of symptoms and normalisation of blood parameters. Histological observations of liver cells have shown that the regenerative ability of cells improves. In addition, choline is a building block of neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Adding choline has a significant effect on our feelings, behaviour and improved memory. Inositol, as a component part of phospholipia phosphatidylinositol, decreases the level of triglycerides in blood and reduces the synthesis of cholesterol in liver. As it improves the elasticity of arteries, it lowers blood pressure. This means that it protects the cardiovascular system.
PLANT STEROLS: Aloe gel contains lupeol, B-sitosterol and campesterol. They all have anti-inflammatory effect, and lupeol also antiseptic and analgesic.
PLANT HORMONES: These are gibberelins and auxins, responsible for stimulating cell growth. This effect is important when using aloe vera gel on skin as it stimulates cell division and thus healing of damaged tissue.
SALICYLIC ACID: Salycylic acid has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and ceratolytie effect.
ENZYMES: Enzymes, found in aloe vera gel: amylase, brady kinase, carboxypeptidase, catalase, cellulase, creatine-phosphokinase, phosphatase, lipase, protease, transaminase, tyrosinase. 62 Enzymes in food are needed because they facilitate digestion and thus decrease the need for own enzymes. However, if the
food does not contain enough, it is not digested well in digestive organs and is transferred to blood as such and then it is more difficult for our defence mechanisms to recognise it and in certain cases they even develop an immune reaction to them. Consequently, allergies to food occur more often, our immune system is overburdened to be able to react normally when there actually is an infection. Obtaining aloe vera gel with cold procedures allows the enzymes, sensitive to temperatures, to be kept in the gel. Brady kinase decomposes bradykinin, which is the tissue activator of inflammation, and thus stops the inflammation, relieves pain and swelling. Catalase participates in the decomposition of H2O2 to non-toxic products water and oxygen. Without catase, a hydroxil radical, one of the most reactive free radicals, would be produced. When the gel is applied to a wound, burn or lesion, catalse cleans the spot with active oxygen and stimulates the growth of new fibrablasts and revascularisation of tissue. Lipase participates in the metabolism of fats. It balances the level of cholesterol and triglycerides in blood and hepatobiliary activity. Tyrosinase decomposes tyrosine, which is the substance to produce skin pigment melanin. Thus tyrosinase should prevent the occurrence of brown pigment blemishes on face and hands of old people. Proteolytic enzymes participate in the process of wound cleaning and contribute to faster healing. LIGNINS: lingnings are polymer molecules which provide the plant with firmness and support in the cell wall. When used orally, they improve digestion and consistency of faeces, similarly to fibre. SAPONINS After being consumed, saponins irritate the intestine. In intravenous application they have haemolytic effect and they are toxic. Saponins in Aloe vera do not have those effects, and at the same time their quantity is very low. However, they do have antiseptic, antimicrobial and cleansing effects.
AMINO ACIDS: Aloe vera gel contains 7 essential amino acids (phenylalanine, leucine, isoleucine, lysine, methionine, threonine, valine), semi-essential amino acids (cysteine, tyrosine), and non-essential amino acids (aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glutamin, alanine, L-arginine, glycine, proline, hydroxyproline, histidine, serine). Amino acids are building blocks of muscle tissue, epithelium, hormones, enzymes,…
In case of problems with oral mucosa, mouth ulcers, inflamed or bleeding gums, bad breath, and also toothache, toothpaste and mouth water with Aloe vera is used, and after brushing Aloe vera gel can be applied. Aloe vera has to thank the wisdom of mother nature for its extreme medicinal effects, which has created all its ingredients in a synergistic ratio whose final medicinal effect is much higher than the influence of individual substances.
This is the reason why only high-quality, organic, handpicked and pressed, unpasteurised Aloe vera, grown on IRENEE Estate, is used in IRENEE products.
As such, as many beneficial characteristics of this vital and precise combination as possible are kept.
